Lasik Eye Surgery
Every time I offer my “free consults”, my mind goes to Once Upon A Time when I went in for a free consultation for Lasik Eye Surgery. I had absolutely no idea what that was or what it entailed but the advertisement on the radio said that after the procedure, I wouldn’t need to wear glasses anymore. And I was sold on that! I hated glasses so much and although having purple contacts was fun, dealing with all the drama of contacts was super non awesome also. So I signed up directly for a free consult to see what it was all about. I was so sold on the result of not having to wear glasses or contacts anymore, that I still didn’t quite wrap my head around the fact that it was a surgery. On my eye balls! This was a bigger deal than I had originally thought.
Anyway, the metaphor isn’t perfect but I love the idea of coming in to a free consult having mostly no idea of what’s going on because I am a life coach. Another thing that happens at a free lasik consultation might be that you aren’t a good fit. Maybe what is happening in your eye can’t actually be corrected by the current technology.
